Bujo Retro

So I think I told you a week or two ago that I had some extra space due to the month ending in the middle of the week. To end March, I only needed half a page for two days. Then, to begin April, I used a page and a half (of a two-page spread) for five days and a weekly “tasks” box.

For the March space, I decided to do a retrospective, or “retro,” for the month. If you’re not familiar, this is a term we use in software development. Essentially, the team gets together after some unit of work is complete, and we discuss what was good and bad since the last time we did this. For mine, I went with something my team has started doing fairly recently. I made three columns, for things to start, stop, and continue doing.

When filling this out, I referred back to a list of goals I had created near the beginning of the year to see what things I could add or subtract that could help me progress towards those goals.

I felt like I had already covered reviewing the previous month and looking forward to the next, so for the space at the start of April I just made it a half page for prayer requests. I’m the person who collects and sends out prayer requests for my life group, so I always have a page reserved for that.

For this one, since it was only half of a page, I used a light-colored marker and divided the page down the middle so I can fit more on it. I don’t usually do this, but some weeks can take more than half a page (and it’s really less with the washi tape taking up some room), so I’m hoping this might help.

So, what do you think about what I did with my space here? Are you going to try one of these? Do you have something else brilliant that you do with these small extra spaces? Let me know in the comments!
