I know, I missed yesterday. It was a day. I got stung by a wasp, I had to work late, my husband had to work late. It was just a whole thing.
I thought about doing a media update today, but, honestly, not much has changed since last week, so I think I’ll just wait until next week for that.
What I do have for you is my April journal page that I wanted to share!

It’s become kind of a tradition for me to do a rain/rainbow theme in April. April tends to be our stormiest month, although we also start getting it in March, so it’s on my mind. But it’s probably mostly because I have this cute washi tape to use! So I had pulled that out, but wondered if I had something else that would go with it.
I remembered that I’ve been saving pages that I like from my desk calendar. For several years, I’ve been getting the Mary Engelbreit page-a-day desk calendar for my desk at work. Her illustrations and quotes are always cute and usually uplifting.
I found this one that fit with the rain theme and coordinated with my washi tape and cut out just the picture from the calendar page. I taped it in the center-ish of the page, wrote “April” above it, and placed the washi tape around it. The page isn’t completely full, but I still like it, and it makes me happy to see it when I check my monthly, which is on the facing page!
How about you? Do you use themes in your journal? Do you to re-purpose ephemera like this? Let’s chat about it in the comments!
