Gotta make it quick today because I’m running late!

What I Read
I’m back to reading The Texicans by Nina Vida, but, honestly, I haven’t made much progress this week. It’s not a bad book, but it’s also not particularly compelling, plus I’ve just not been making much time for it. Boo. We’ll see how it goes this week.
In slightly better news, I did continue reading my modern English version of The Confessions of Saint Augustine. It’s good so far, so more on it later.
What I Watched
I’m sure it will be no surprise that I finished (re)watching season four of Outer Banks this week, so I’m all ready for the final season to drop on August 20! Honestly, the second time around, I was like, wait, these are teenagers! Why are they running around on international treasure hunts getting into all kinds of danger? I think that’s what makes it fun for kids, though, and it is a great escapist kind of show.
After finishing that, I went back to Starz to watch some more of Outlander. I’m almost done with season seven now. I hear that season eight diverges from the books, so I’m not planning right now to take any more hiatuses from it.
What I Listened To
I guess my big news for this week is that I finished listening to Written in My Own Heart’s Blood by Diana Gabaldon on Audible! I haven’t read the next book yet, so I’m planning to read it before listening to the audiobook. I haven’t started a new audiobook listen yet, either. I guess I’m kind of in a down phase here, too, because nothing really sounds exciting right now. I’m sure I’ll be ready to come back to audiobooks before too long.
I also had my usual lineup of podcasts to listen to in the car.
Sorry it’s so quick, but it kind of fits with my week! How about you? Are you having a hard time right now, or are you getting to read, watch, or listen more in these waning days of summer? Let me know in the comments!
