Media Monday – April 20

It’s Monday again! I don’t know if this is something that anyone else looks forward to, but I enjoy coming here each week to share what I’ve been up to, and hope to hear from you, too! Let’s get started!

What I Read

Still rather boring here! I’m still chipping away at reading Great Lion of God by Taylor Caldwell. I did not realize what a chunkster this would be! I’m generally enjoying it, but I think it’s a little unfortunate that I already generally know what’s going to happen. It’s kind of like watching The Chosen – there’s definitely some clever interpretation, but I know there’s not going to be a huge plot twist!

In other reading, I’m still looking through London Uncovered by Mark Daley. I’m enjoying the photos in this one. I’m also still reading The Journal of John Woolman. If I haven’t mentioned it yet, this is actually the journal of John Woolman, who lived in the eighteenth century, which is why I haven’t mentioned the author – it’s right there in the title! It’s very good, but the older writing style makes it a little slower to get through. The next spiritual book on my list is one I’ve read before, though, and I know it will go faster, so I’m not too worried about finishing this one.

What I Watched

I binged the second and third seasons of The Diplomat this weekend. It’s pretty addictive, but now I guess I’m waiting for season four with the rest of the world. I will probably start on The Testaments this coming weekend, or at least the next time I want to dig into a drama.

I’ve also watched some American Housewife and Seinfeld this week.

What I Listened To

Just my usual podcasts here. I’m getting close to catching up with the Organize 365 Podcast. I’m also making progress in A Breath of Snow and Ashes on Audible.

Progress with this might slow down a little as there are some events coming up this week where I may want to listen to some of the presentations. Starting tonight is The Idea to Cha-Ching Summit. I’m not putting a lot of pressure on myself to make extra money, but I do have some ideas, so sometimes it’s interesting to learn how other are doing things. Starting tomorrow is one called the Eco-Creative Summit that I’m kind of excited for because it’s about using and reusing things you already have. Then tomorrow night kicks off the virtual Art and Junk Journal Retreat. Last, this weekend will have a Paper Crafters Get Organized Summit. I’ll have lots of things to choose from this week!

What about you? Do you have anything you’re excited to read, watch, or listen to this week? Let’s talk about it in the comments!

PS – I did get my taxes in on time! It was Wednesday night, but it was on time!
