Have I been procrastinating on writing this for over half an hour? Yes I have, and I’ll tell you why later!

What I Read

I’m feeling a little blah in this area. I’m still working on Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz. I’m about 25% through it, and there’s no way I’m going to finish by tomorrow. However, I am next in line to re-borrow it, so hopefully that will go seamlessly. Meanwhile, I’m making progress with The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis, but I’m only about 50% through that one, so it looks like it will likely be spilling over into next month as well. I just found out that next month’s book isn’t available as an ebook, so that will be interesting.

What I Watched

I was surprised last week to discover that I was nearing the end of Gilmore Girls! I finished it over the weekend, and of course then had to watch Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life immediately after. I finished Summer and started Fall tonight, and really wanted to finish watching it, but it’s just too long. Maybe tomorrow. I think that’s been the only thing I’ve watched this week, actually. Well, except I also watched a couple of hours of Married at First Sight with my daughter last night. I’m not usually a reality TV person, but it was strangely addicting. Or maybe I was just tired.

What I Listened To

I’ve been listening to my usual podcasts this week, and, when I have time, trying to catch up with the Organize 365 podcast. I also did the math and realized that I may not get all the CPEs in that I need to maintain a professional certification unless I step it up, so I’m teeing up a new security podcast to listen to when I can. I’ve made some progress with Written in My Own Heart’s Blood by Diana Gabaldon on Audible, too.

Sorry it’s pretty short this week. It always feels like more time should appear during the summer, what with the days being longer and everything, but the reality, at least at the beginning, is that it’s actually kind of busy and stressful. It’s not all bad, though. I’ve also been a little better about going for walks outside, and even picked up an instrument for the first time in a while. Maybe more about that later if it sticks! But good things are happening, even in the chaos.

How about you though? Do you have more time for reading, watching, and listening, or less? Do you have other things keeping you busy? Let’s chat about it in the comments!
