It’s another Monday! I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling exhausted lately. There’s some physical reasons, but I think also the drag of winter is just getting me down. I’m looking forward to the time change in a couple of weeks. I guess that does help with finding time to read and watch TV, though, so it’s not all bad!

What I Read
I don’t think there’s anything new here, but I do feel like I’ve made a lot of progress! I’m on the last chapter of Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett, so I’m actually expecting to finish that tonight. It’s been a really fun read! It got a little draggy in the middle, and I wondered where it was going, but it’s wrapping up nicely. I hope to continue with the sequels.
I’ve also continued making progress with The Stressed Years of Their Lives by B. Janet Hibbs and Anthony Rostain. I’m at 50%! I think I mentioned last week that I took Reddit off of my phone, and I’m pretty fed up with Facebook and can only take it in small doses, so I’ve made a lot of progress by going to the Kindle app instead of scrolling.
Then, I think that I actually forgot to mention last week that I also started reading The Purple Passport to London. I picked this up for my Kindle a year or so ago because it was cheap, and we are planning a trip to London this year. It seems like a kind of female-focused guide, and I like that it’s arranged by neighborhood, so I think that will help us plan by proximity.
I’m making progress and expecting to finish The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence this week. I’m also continuing with my Bible reading plan.
What I Watched
What didn’t I watch? Again, it was a little of everything! I watched the next episode of All Creatures Great and Small, of course. Also some more episodes of Outlander. That seems to be mostly a weekend watch, when I have a little more time. We continued watching the Olympics at night, but that’s now over, of course. On my own, I’ve continued watching both American Housewife and Seinfeld when I need something escapist. At first I thought the former would replace the latter, but sometimes I still get a craving to watch the gang and their humor. And, possibly notable only because I just finished it, I watched a longish YouTube video about the Archer & Olive kit I’m planning to use for next month. It was actually this month’s (February) kit, but I went with something different and saved this one for March.
What I Listened To
Back to boring here! I’ve just listened to my usual lineup, with the Crafty Ass Female podcast filling in the gaps. I realized that there are so few episodes left because for some reason the feed stops in 2022. I know she’s continuing to make episodes, so I’m trying to fix my feed, but still not sure what’s wrong. We’ll see if I can keep getting updates.
I’ve also made some significant progress on Audible with Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon. That’s also the season I’m in on the show, so it’s working out for now, but I’m sure my watching will catch up and surpass my listening before too long.
Well, that’s been my week! How about you? Are you trying to bear down on intentional entertainment like I am, or are you getting stuck in the scroll? Let’s chat in the comments!
