Phew, it’s Monday again! So I guess it’s time for another Media Monday post!

What I Read
I got about 20% into reading The Texicans by Nina Vida. It seems pretty good so far, but then my library hold came up earlier than I expected for The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. I had put this one on hold the week before, I think, planning to use it for my haunted house book. I was thinking that I hadn’t read this one before, but once I got it and started reading the introduction, I realized that I had. I try to read books that I haven’t read before for the library challenge (unless it specifies one that I’ve read before, of course!), but I figured I was kind of already committed to this one. The version I got has multiple introductions, which were interesting, but it also took me a while to even get to the story. Plus, like I said, I didn’t remember a whole lot about reading it the first time.
In spiritual reading, I’m still working on Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ by Jeanne Guyon. I had thought I would finish this one before the end of the month, because it only has 25 chapters, and they were short enough that I could easily read one per day, but then I discovered that the final few are actually much longer! I’m thinking I will probably at least be done by next Monday, but we’ll see. I’m also still on track to read through my NIV Life Application Study Bible this year.
What I Watched
Honestly, I think it was 100% Outer Banks this week! I think I mentioned last week that I’m wanting to rewatch it before the last season comes out on August 20. I don’t think that will be a problem because I’ve watched two seasons now! I’m not sure if all the seasons are the same length, but if they are, then I’m halfway through. So I’ll probably try to shake it up a little more this week.
What I Listened To
I think this category is mostly the same. I listened to my usual podcasts, and I’ve also made progress listening to Written in My Own Heart’s Blood by Diana Gabaldon on Audible. This seems to be my most unchanging category. I guess that’s partly because podcasts (mostly) keep coming out every week, and because audio books can be very long. Especially Outlander ones!
So that’s been my week, at least as far as media goes! How has yours been? Are you reading, watching, or listening to anything new? Or, like me, are you doing more re-reading, -watching, or -listening? Let me know in the comments!
