Welp, I missed another Monday! To be fair, it’s a holiday week for everyone in my family, and I’ve been very confused about what day it is.
What I Read
I finished reading Awake by Jen Hatmaker. It was good until the end. There were definitely some difficult things, but the overall tone was optimistic and hopeful, so I really liked that about it.
After that, I requested another library book, Katabasis by R.F. Kuang. I think this is another one that was published this year, and I’m trying to read things that I’m really interested in in a timely manner. I feel like this has been a good year for me in that respect. Anyway, I’m not too far into it yet, but I think it’s supposed to be kind of a modern take on Dante’s Inferno, so I’m finding it interesting so far.
In spiritual books, I’m still reading Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster, and I’m about two-thirds through it. Also, I don’t mention it all the time, but I am still reading through the Ancient Faith Study Bible.
What I Watched
I feel like I watched a lot of Manifest this week! I finished season two, and then needed an emotional break with a few episodes of Gilmore Girls! Then yesterday or today I got back to it and am almost halfway through season three. At this rate, I may be able to finish the series before going back to work!
What I Listened To
Alas, nothing new here. Plus, being off work this week, I’m not spending a lot of time in my car listening either, so I’m expecting to have a lot of things to catch up on next week!
So it’s a short but sweet (and late) media report this week, and I’m not expecting it to be much better next week! I am enjoying time with family and friends, though, so that’s well worth letting media consumption fall to the wayside for a few days.
How about you? Do you consume more or less media during the holidays? And what is it? Are you one for holiday-themes? Let’s chat in the comments!
