Look at me being on top of things! If things go as planned, this will post on schedule on Monday morning…

What I Read

Nothing but progress to report here. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros is going well. Nice world building, I can see the potential for the current story to be wrapped up, but with some loose threads for future books to explore.

I’m also making progress on And It Was Good by Madeleine L’Engle. This book is such a delight. I’m thinking of taking a page from Laura Vanderkam and making a project of reading all of her works. I think I own most of them for Kindle now.

What I Watched

I finished watching Grosse Pointe Garden Society, and it was quite a ride! They threw red herrings everywhere, so I didn’t know who the victim was until very close to the reveal. It was lots of fun to watch, and ended with a scene from “next season,” but it seems there’s some doubt on whether there will ever be a next season. I guess it wasn’t that popular on TV, but there’s talk of bringing it back just for Peacock. I hope they do. I didn’t feel like this season was even fully resolved. The questions were answered, but it’s not clear how our garden society members are going to be able to move on.

After that, sure, enough, I turned back to Seinfeld for my mindless entertainment fix! I guess it’s not really mindless, but at least there aren’t any mysteries to solve! It’s just a feel-good. Also funny to see the randomness of the first season and how the sets and characters started out.

What I Listened To

Not much has changed here. I listened to my usual lineup of podcasts. I still owe you readers some deeper dives into those. I also listened to a little more of Taste by Stanley Tucci on Audible. Plus I got some new audiobooks on sale for my backlog.

This week I also had some fun tutorials to listen to, as I had signed up for Happy Ever Crafter’s Workshop Week and something called the Scrapbooking Fun Summit. I swear, one day I will get it together enough to share these things better.

So that’s my week of media in a nutshell. How about you? Anything new you want to talk about? Let’s discuss in the comments!
