Media Monday – December 22

What day is it? My last day at work for the year was Thursday, so since then it’s all just kind of fuzzy. But turns out that it is Monday, so I guess it’s time for a media Monday post.

What I Read

Well, I finished We Fell Apart by E. Lockhart. Without spoilers, I found it a little more…positive than the previous books. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still pretty dark, but there was kind of a chosen family theme running through it that was nice. After that, I had another hold come up for a newish book, I, Medusa by Ayana Gray. I’m a little over halfway through this one, and it’s really good so far. It’s a novelization of the Medusa myth.

In spiritual reads, I’m working on God is in the Manager by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. It’s an Advent devotional comprised of some of his writings and sermons about Christmas. Also really good so far. And I’m also on track to complete my read through of the CSB Ancient Faith Study Bible by the end of the year. I use a reading plan I found online that I plan to talk a little more about next week.

What I Watched

Kind of boring here because I’ve still just been watching Lost on Netflix. Boring for you to read about, but it’s still pretty fun for me to watch! I’m almost halfway through season 3 right now, so kind of mired in the Nikki and Paulo and Jack in Thailand mess, but I’m looking forward to the episodes at the end of this season, and then season 4.

What I Listened To

Nothing too earth-shattering here, either. I’ve still got the same podcast lineup. I listened to some more of The Declutter Hub Podcast last week, and I also decided to switch back to the Organize 365 Podcast there a little bit, too. I had to think a little, but I’m sure I listened to some more of the audiobook of Voyager by Diana Gabaldon last week, too.

So not much more than a quick catchup this week, but I’m actually feeling pretty good about the media I have been consuming lately. How about you? Anything good you’ve read, watched, or listened to recently? Any changes you want to make for the new year? Let’s chat in the comments!
