I’m squeaking in another one on Monday evening!

What I Read
Well, I finished The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman! This one was just as charming as The Thursday Murder Club, with all our favorite characters back solving a new mystery. I then read a couple more chapters of The Strength of His Hand by Lynn Austin, but the next day one of my library holds came up! So I checked out The Magician of Tiger Castle by Louis Sachar. I feel like most people know him as the author of Holes, but I read his first few Wayside School books even before that, back when I was a kid. This is his first adult novel, so it’s different from the things he’s written before, but somehow I think it still has some of the same magic. I think I’m about three-quarters of the way through it, so next week I should be able to let you know!
Then, I know it’s hard to believe, but I finished The Politics of Jesus by John Howard Yoder this morning! It was a long one, but the last couple of chapters I think were added in the second edition, and were much less dense, with fewer footnotes, more like expanding or updating the ideas he’d already expressed in the previous chapters. I’m glad I read this, although I’m not sure if it’s something I will ever read again. I’m not sure what I’m going to start reading tomorrow yet.
What I Watched
I feel like it’s “same old same old” here. I watched the latest episode of Only Murders in the Building. I watched a few episodes of Perfect Strangers and Seinfeld. I watched a few more episodes of Gilmore Girls. Currently Team Jess, but apparently there’s another love interest coming at some point. Oh, and one new(ish) thing, DH and I did watch another episode of The Chosen! Hopefully we can get back into that.
What I Listened To
Nothing really new here, either. I’ve still got the same podcast lineup, although I’m thinking of bringing in a new organizing and decluttering podcast. I’m also still making progress with Outlander by Diana Gabaldon on Audible. I’ve got less than eight hours left, so the end is in sight!
