Another last minute post from me! So let’s get right to it!

What I Read
Not much is new here, unfortunately. I am almost finished with The Man Who Died Twice, the second book in Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club series. I’m also still working on The Politics of Jesus by John Howard Yoder.
Next, I want to read The Magician of Tiger Castle by Louis Sachar. This is his first adult novel, which I’m really excited to read. However, if you use Overdrive/Libby to borrow ebooks, you might have discover what I have, that you can no longer delay a hold, but “suspend” it. So today I went to Overdrive and “unsuspended” the hold on all the libraries that have this book, and we’ll see when I get it. Supposedly I get it next, but what if multiple people unsuspend on the same day? I guess it’s first come first served? Hopefully I’ll be finding out soon! In the meantime, I guess I’ll go back to The Strength of His Hand by Lynn Austin.
What I Watched
A little more interesting here. I’ve gotten on a Gilmore Girls roll! Yeah, it’s a little much, but it’s also a feel-good show, and I’m enjoying spending time in Stars Hollow. I also watched the latest episode of Only Murders in the Building, and a little bit of Seinfeld. I’ve been putting quotes from the show on my status at work (nobody cares as long as it’s not inapproriate), and tomorrow I’m going to change it to this one from Kramer: “He tried to lam, but they cheesed him!”
What I Listened To
Also pretty much more of the same. I’ve got my regular podcast lineup, with the Organize 365 Podcast once those are done. Then I’ve also been listened to quite a bit more of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I think I’m around halfway through that one.
I guess since this isn’t a very exciting blog post so far this might be a good time to tell you about another of my regular podcasts. Next up, also out on Mondays, is The Lazy Genius Podcast. Hosted by Kendra Adachi, this is kind of a lifestyle podcast for women/moms. The tag line is, “Be a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don’t.” She covers all kinds of topics, mostly home-centric, but also things like work and vacation, and I’ve listened to the entire back catalog going back to something like 2018. She also has three books out, all of which I’ve read and own. I like her style, and a lot of the content is relevant to me, so this one has been a keeper for a long time.
Well, that’s been my week! Nothing too exciting, but sometimes it’s nice to just have some old favorites. (Or new episodes of old favorites!) How about you? Are you reading/watching/listening to anything new and exciting? Or not? Let’s chat in the comments!
