Welp, it’s another Media Monday…evening! I’m still showing up, though!

What I Read
I did finish Give Her Credit by Grace L. Williams! It was an interesting read, but not particularly juicy, hence the long read time. Still, worth reading and remembering that even when I was born it was still difficult for women to access credit and other banking services without a man’s involvement.
After finishing that one, I decided to take on the “Jumping Off Point” category by reading the first book in a new series. I could have used Fourth Wing for this category, but romance-related categories are always difficult for me, so I left it there. Still, it took some thinking to find a series that I was interested in reading, but hadn’t started yet. It turned out that the answer was already on my Kindle – I recently came across an a trilogy that I was interested in and had purchased the first book when it was on sale. The book is Farthing by Jo Walton, and is part of an alternate history set in an England that made a truce with Nazi Germany to end WWII. The story itself is a murder mystery set in an English country house. Good so far.
For my spiritual book I’m still working on The World’s Last Night by C.S. Lewis. He’s one of my favorite authors and always makes me think.
What I Watched
Lots to report here! I watched a bit more of Arrested Development, a tiny bit of Seinfeld, and lots of Only Murders in the Building. I discovered that I could access the latter through Disney+, which played flawlessly, although I’m still grumpy about the Hulu website not working for me.
Speaking of Disney+, though, I also somehow found a window of time to watch Mufasa there! I enjoyed that backstory. And, speaking of movies, I watched part of Top Gun: Maverick with my husband this weekend, too. I’m hoping that we will be able to start watching season 5 of The Chosen this week.
What I Listened To
Alas, this one isn’t as exciting. I did finish listening to Oracle by Andrew Pyper on Audible just today, and started Oracle 2: The Dreamland Murders. Aside from that, it’s still my usual podcast lineup.
How about you? What kinds of media are you consuming this week? Let’s chat in the comments!
