I’m tired today, but I am here, so let’s get right to it!

What I Read

I finished No Cloak, No Dagger by Benjamin Cowburn. This was a pretty interesting read about an English spy in occupied France during World War II. However, it’s written in a very straightforward manner, not like a thriller or anything. He tells you up front that he was very lucky and didn’t get caught, so there’s not a lot of suspense or anything. It comes off more as just, “I did my bit.”

After that, I started Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett. This was already on my library lists, and it also works for the Romantacy category in my library challenge. I also made some more significant progress with The Stressed Years of Their Lives by B. Janet Hibbs and Anthony Rostain. Taking Reddit off my phone probably helped with that; now instead of scrolling I reach for a book!

I’m also still chugging along with The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence and my Bible plan.

What I Watched

Some excitement here! I think I hit a little bit of everything this week. I watched the latest episode of All Creatures Great and Small. I watched a few episodes of Seinfeld. I watched a few more episodes of Outlander and think I’m almost done with season 3.

In more surprising news, I watched the new episode of The Muppet Show on Disney Plus, which was fun. I don’t remember really watching the original show, though. I also started watching American Housewife on Disney Plus/Hulu. My daughter watches this, so I’d seen some pieces of episodes before, but I started watching from the beginning, and it’s really pretty funny. Also DH and I have been watching some of the Olympics, mostly at night before we go to sleep. Frankly, it’s been keeping me up later than I’d like, but it’s hard not to stay up to find out who medals!

What I Listened To

More boring here. I listened to my usual podcasts, and the Crafty Ass Female podcast in between. I also continued listening to the Drums of Autumn audiobook. I have to say, though, I’m starting to get a little confused by watching the series at the same time I’m listening to the books. Like, who’s in Great Britain and who’s in America right now? Not to mention which century! It’s hard to keep track!

Well, that’s been my week. How about you? Anything new on your plate? Or any old favorites? Let’s chat in the comments!
