Ugh, I know, I missed Monday. I had to take my car to the shop for some urgent service, and had to share a car with my husband for a couple of days. So it’s not exactly that I didn’t have time to post, more like I didn’t have the brain capacity to remember to post. So, next week you can expect a doubled up Media Monday post, plus I’ve got a little something extra today that I’ve been meaning to share.
Here’s a sample of my usual weekly layout.

It only takes a few minutes to draw it out, and it’s not very difficult to freehand the boxes by “connecting the dots” in my dotted journal. I usually use two colors, or sometimes three. I don’t always alternate the box and the writing colors, either. Sometimes I make all of the days the same, and sometimes I make the boxes the same but alternate two different colors for the lettering. The numbers are the date, and I’ll also sometimes use stickers for them if I happen to have some, or day of the week stickers. Once or twice I’ve also tried stamping the day or date. Stamping is something I’d like to improve at, so I should probably practice more!
Anyway, like I said, this is the layout I use probably 90% of the time. It has plenty of room for my daily tasks, and even some brief notes if needed. Weekly tasks go in the eighth “task” box. Those are typically things I do on the weekend, but don’t know in advance which day, or maybe just things I need to do sometime that week. It works great to organize my work weeks and weekends.
What about you? If you’re a bullet journaler, what do you look for in a weekly spread? Do you even do one, or are you more of a monthly person? Let me know in the comments!
