What I’m Reading
I finished Farthing by Jo Walton. It was good, and I’m definitely interested in continuing with the rest of the trilogy. I also finished The World’s Last Night by C.S. Lewis. His writing always makes me think.
For my next library challenge book, I needed a book from the NYT’s Best Books of the 21st Century list. I had already read several on the list, so I decided on Bel Canto by Ann Pratchett. It’s not bad so far, a little slow plot-wise, but also not difficult to read, so I’m making good progress. I checked out the ebook from the library.
Then for my next spiritual book, I took a risk and checked out another library book because I had had a hold that came up just as I was finishing The World’s Last Night. It’s How to Pray by Pete Greig, and is very good so far. I have it for two weeks, and there are ten chapters, so I’m shooting for a chapter a day.
I’m looking forward to finishing both of these books this week, or at least coming close.
What I’m Watching
So my husband and I were able to start watching The Chosen last week, but only one episode. I got through season three of Only Murders in the Building, and haven’t gotten back to it for season four yet. Beyond that, I’ve mostly just been watching Seinfeld when I need something playing in the background.
I’m still hoping for season 5 of Only Murders to release soon, but I haven’t seen a date anywhere. But one show that has announced a new season release date is Wednesday on Netflix! I’m looking forward to seeing where this season takes her.
What I’m Listening To
Nothing new to report here. I’ve still got my usual podcast lineup, and am still listening to Oracle 2. I am getting close to the end of that, and am hoping that I also have time to listen to Oracle 3 before my Audible subscription is up!
